PRESIDENT

Dr. Arieh A. Ullmann

I became involved in the community 26 years ago when I arrived in Binghamton from Europe with my young family. At that time my family benefited from the many excellent facilities available: the JCC, Hillel Academy, the synagogues. As the years went by my wife, Barbara (z’l), and I "matured" and we started to get involved not as consumers but as volunteers. I joined the boards of Beth David Synagogue, Hillel Academy and the JCC; later on, I also joined the Jewish Federation's board and became president of Beth David and of the Federation. I continue to be involved because I know that unless we maintain this cycle from generation to generation Jewish life as we want it and need it, will not survive.
